Tuesday NBA game preview: Toronto Raptors at Brooklyn Nets

Toronto: Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Norm Powell, Serge Ibaka, Jonas Valanciunas

Brooklyn: Spencer Dinwiddie, D’Angelo Russell, Allen Crabbe, DeMarre Carroll, Jarrett Allen

KEY MATCHUP

Carroll vs. Powell

Ex-Raptor Carroll should have a little extra juice for the game, going up against his old mates. With OG Anunoby still hobbled by a bad ankle, Powell should get another chance to start and have an impact.

NEED TO KNOW

The Raptors have beaten Brooklyn 10 times in a row … The Nets are 2-8 in their last 10 games and have one of the worst records in the league, but they’re not tanking. They don’t have their own draft pick in June … Mississauga’s Nik Stauskas plays sparingly. He hasn’t seen the court for 12 minutes in a game in Brooklyn’s last 10 … A victory gets Toronto to the 50-win plateau for the third straight season.
